The Zamfara state Sector commander of the Federal Road Safety corps, Uchechukwu Wihioka, charged  them to be professional and demonstrated commitment to assist the corps to ensure that road users comply  with traffic regulations.

The inducted Special Marshalls are to work with the Federal Road Safety corps to reduce road crashes  in Zamfara State.

Zamfara State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Uchechukwu Wihioka, emphasized the need for the personnel and the Special Marshalls to  shun  corrupt practices, while carrying out their responsibilities.

He enjoined them to ensure road users  obey traffic regulations.

Some of the inductees who spoke to our reporter on their motivations to be Special Marshalls in Zamfara State, said they were ready to complement the efforts of FRSC in reducing road crashes by ensuring motorists abide by the rules and regulations on the roads.

Other stakeholders harped on the need to punish offenders of traffic violations.

They said, it will ensure compliance with traffic rules and reduce crashes on Nigerian roads.
